About Me
Hey, I’m Mikai. I make things with my hands, mostly clay, sometimes paint, sometimes whatever material feels right in the moment. My work lives in that soft space between play and intuition, where experimentation, mistakes, and tiny sparks of wonder all get to exist together.
I’ve moved from place to place for years, and that nomadic life has shaped the way I see and create. It taught me to slow down, to pay attention to small details, to embrace transition, and to find beauty in the in between moments. A lot of my pieces are born from those moments: colors I notice on long walks, textures from everyday life, or feelings that surface quietly while I’m working.
Creating, for me, is both healing and grounding. It’s how I process, grow, and reconnect with joy. Whether it’s a functional pot or a whimsical little vessel, everything I make holds a bit of that journey.
I hope my work brings you a sense of curiosity, comfort, or even just a tiny spark of delight.
Thanks for being here. Take your time, explore, and maybe you’ll find something that speaks to you in the way it spoke to me while I was making it.
